SARMs and Fertility: What We Know
2025-02-15
SARMs (Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators) were marketed as "safer" than steroids. The reality: they still suppress the HPTA. Fertility can take a hit.
Suppression Profile
SARMs bind androgen receptors and suppress LH and FSH. The degree varies by compound and dose. Ostarine at typical doses can cause mild to moderate suppression. RAD-140 and LGD-4033 are often more suppressive.
Recovery Considerations
- Don't assume "mild" = no PCT – Even "mild" suppression can linger
- Sperm parameters – Can be affected even when testosterone "bounces back"
- Time – 4–12 weeks of suppression is common. Recovery may take 2–4 months.
Supplement Support
The same stack that helps AAS users helps SARM users: CoQ10, L-carnitine, zinc, selenium, ashwagandha. If you ran a cycle and are planning to conceive, treat recovery seriously.
